Model-Based Design (MBD) and automated code generation for power conversion applications in automotive and aviation field is widely used. AURIX™ Hardware Support Package (AHSP) from MathWorks enhances the usage existing powerful features of AURIX™ with less implementation effort and a short development time. In this presentation, MBD approach used to develop embedded software for a power conversion application using AHSP is presented. Modeling approach that facilitates the execution of development cycle and validation steps such as Model-in-the-Loop (MiL), Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) and Processor-in-the-Loop (PiL) from a single model and targeting multicore homogenous and heterogenous architectures of AURIX™ System-on-Chip (SoC) are presented.
Radovan Vuletić received the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Novi Sad, Novi Sad, Serbia, in 1996. After completing his studies, he started working in the electrical motors industry and then as a product development engineer with Qimonda AG. Since October 2010 he has been working on concept, simulation and design of demonstrators of electrical systems at Infineon Automotive. Today Radovan is the senior principal engineer for drives and system simulations within Infineon’s Automotive System Application Engineering. He has expertise in power electronic components and electrical power converters, with focus on Model-Based Design, analog/thermal simulations, and development of control algorithms including their implementation, by automated code generation, on Infineon’s AURIX™ System-on-Chip.
Nagendra Badiger received the M.Sc. degree in Power engineering from the Technical University of Munich in 2017. After completing his studies with specialization in power electronics and control systems, he started working in the automotive industry as an application software development engineer with AVL SET. Since October 2022 he has been working on embedded software development of electrical systems and development of real time models of power converters (HiL) at Infineon Automotive. Today Nagendra is a senior staff engineer for power conversion applications and HiL simulations within Infineon’s Automotive System Application Engineering. He has expertise in the field power electronics, electrical power converters, E-motor emulation, motor control and multicore SW architectures for Infineon’s AURIX™, with focus on Model-Based Design for HDL and embedded C code generation.
